Apart from that many modern day browsers like Chrome come with an option to attach different programs for users convenience called extension. These web browsers have made our lives so much better and simpler.

Different web browser’s of modern day, works on different platforms and may incur various problems like, web pages not loading, web browser getting crashed. Here, I will discuss various troubleshooting techniques to help you out resolve the browser problems.

  1. Check For Updates

    In case, your web-browser has been lagging and hanging all the time and you cannot access any web page, then chances are your browser might be facing some internal conflict due to a malicious file system. These files affect your browser’s performance drastically, so make sure to go to your browser's settings and look for any patch or update files available to resolve the problem. Go to the settings section and then at the bottom you will find the option to update, click on it, your browser will look on the internet for any such available files and if it is there, i will download it and update your browser.

  2. Clear Caches & Cookies

    Caches are used by different websites to control different back-end processes of the websites. These caches are required to provide you with all the features available on the website, and regulate the multimedia options. Once you end your browsing session, these caches and cookies gets saved in your browser’s memory. Some websites has malicious cookies as well, so if you visit such websites, these saved caches and cookies might disrupt the functioning of your browser. So head to your browser’s cookies folder and delete all available files of the folder. Now restart your browser and check if the issue is resolved.

  3. Delete Temporary Files

    Just like the caches & cookies, temporary files also may harm your browser’s working if it is infected with some malicious files. If the website you are browsing is not secure or use too many external links than chances are some of them are virus which cannot be detected easily. In order to make sure and limit the damage, go to your browser’s settings and locate temporary file folder. Delete all temporary files from this folder and restart your browser to check if it is working fine and well.

  4. Avoid Using insecure and temporary link

    Generally, when you visit a website, look at the top of your browsing address bar, it tells you whether the connection is secure or not. Generally, secure connections contain various phishing links and dangerous file system. Once you click on these links or websites chances are many different kinds of virus, malware, spyware gets stored in your browser which might lead to frequent crashing of your browser and not able to load a website page. It is thus, recommended not to click on any such phishing links, websites which have been termed in-secure to use by your web browser.

  5. Reset Your Browser

    If the above-mentioned methods and techniques did not resolve your web browser’s crashing issues, then it is recommended to restore settings of your browser to Factory settings. This will wipe out all the unnecessary and malicious files from your browser. Go to the settings of your browser, and at the bottom of the page, you will find the option to restore the settings of your browser. Click on the restore button and try opening your web browser again. This should be able to resolve your browser’s frequent disconnection and crashing.

  6. Install a fresh copy of the browser

    The last resort if still your browser keeps crashing and fails to load web pages, is to delete or uninstall the faulty version and install a new fresh version of the browser. All your settings and data of the browser gets saved in sync with your email account.

Uninstall the faulty Browser

  • Open the Control Panel of your computer and go to the “Program”.
  • Click open the Program settings page and then click on “Uninstall a Program”.
  • A list of services and programs installed on your computer will appear in front of you.
  • Now double click on your browser’s name from the list and follow the on-screen instruction to uninstall the program.
  • Your computer might restart to make the changes.

Install a fresh copy

  • Download the fresh copy of a browser you want to install from its official website.
  • Once the download the file, double-click on it.
  • A setup window will appear on-screen, follow the instructions on the screen to complete the setup.
