Go to your Facebook account and click on the Down arrow at the top right corner and choose Settings from the list, then click on Security.
Here you will find the option to deactivate your account, press the deactivate button and provide a reason for your action from the given list. Deletion of your account is slightly tougher. If you want to permanently delete your Facebook account, go to the Delete Facebook page. From here you can delete your account permanently. You will be given the option to download all your data before proceeding to deletion.

Google

Google plays a very important role in our daily lives especially if you are an android user. The complete eco-system, from Gmail to Google Maps all need a Google account subscription to use them. If you have decided to use other platforms and delete your Google Account, then follow the instructions mentioned carefully:

Go to the Google Accounts Page and login to your Google Account.
On this page, you will notice three options, Delete your Gmail, without deleting your Google Account, Remove Google Book and Delete Your Google account and close all services, click on the third option for deletion.
Now, a confirmation page will appear, here, check the box for Yes I would Like To delete. Enter another primary email address you want to use other Google services with and then the password in the dialogue box and click remove. Now your Google account will be permanently deleted without any ways to get back to your account again.
