The unique Blood red waterfall stains red the snow-white face of Taylor Glacier. But the view can be seen in many pictures. Glaciologists and microbiologists have solved the mystery behind it and found out what causes red colour. They have concluded that the subterranean lake from where the water comes and give a red colour to the waterfall is highly rich in iron. It is revealed in the recent research that microorganisms living 1,300 feet beneath the ice, sustained by the iron and sulfur in the water.

From April 20 to August 23, the sun never sets over Svalbard. It is a Norwegian archipelago that lies north of Greenland in the Arctic Sea. one can’t distinguish whether it's day or night.
