The Jammu and Kashmir police penned down an emotional letter for Zohra, the 5-year-old daughter of ASI Ab Rasheed who was killed in an encounter with Jaish-e-Muhammad terrorists in Pulwama district.

The forces vowed to avenge his father’s death and said that each drop of her tear will be accounted for.

 

 

Zohra’s crying image on her father’s funeral went viral on social media on Monday evening. People are expressing their angst against the militants in the valley. The martyred Assistant Sub Inspector who was shot in the stomach by terrorists could not survive the deep wounds and died of his injuries.

On seeing the crying pictures of Zohra, the DIG of south Kashmir police wrote an open letter to her through social media. The letter goes like this

“My Dear Zohra,

Your tears have shaken many hearts.The sacrifice made by your father will always be remembered. You are too young to understand why this happened.

 

 

People responsible for such attacks on lawful people will pay their price. They are indeed insane and enemy of humanity.Your father like many of us is a symbol of courage and sacrifice.

Many of our Police families have suffered and undergone irreparable trauma and pain for the common good of our society. We cannot forget our heroes and dear ones with whom we have lived and worked all these years.All these families are a part of the great journey that JKP has undertaken while serving the society.

Remember we are all family in this critical phase. Every drop of your tear sears our heart. May almighty give us the strength to reach our goal of rendering services for the betterment of the society.The vow we had taken when we donned the uniform is supreme.We will always cherish the memory of ASI Ab Rashid who was a true policeman in every sense and gave his life on the line of duty RIP.
