Former Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh addressed the media in a Press Conference on Wednesday that he is forming a new political party that would also fight in Elections on all the 117 seats at the right time. 

Captain Amarinder Singh resigned as the Chief Minister of Punjab on 18th September and after some days he also left the Congress party due to a power tussle with Navjot Singh Siddhu, President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. Congress Party replaced Captain with Charanjit Singh Channi.

According to the Former CM, the name of his newly formed party will be announced after the Election Commission clears the name and the symbol. 

When he was asked about his plans of Alliance with the BJP Party he said that he has not discussed anything with the BJP Party or any other party yet but he thinks that they would want to have an alliance. 

He also stated - "I want to be strong to give a tough fight to INC, Shiromani Akali Dal, and Aam Aadmi Party. I'll discuss with them (Bhartiya Janta Party) and we will put a united front to defeat all of these parties in upcoming elections"

Captain Amarinder Singh further added - " We have a support of many people with us and we will fight all 117 seats when the right time comes, we will have many Congressmen coming in"

During the Press Conference, Captain also presented a report card of his tenure that showcased his fulfilled promises which he made in the election manifesto in past years. He claimed that he has fulfilled 90% of his promises made during the 2017 Assembly Elections.
