One Plus as a brand has become a synonym for quality at affordable prices. Every 6 months it comes up with a phone which meets the flagship standard of many manufacturers but costs half of the price, and 2018 is no different.

The much-awaited One Plus 6 which majorly focused on advertising speed in the lead up to the launch event. The new One Plus 6 is pretty much 2018 phone and checks all the boxes of being called a 2018 flagship. It got the latest Snapdragon 845 chipset, 6GB/8GB RAM variants, 128GB/256GB storage, a bezel-less display with 84% screen to body ratio and of course a notch! When most of the manufacturers fail to create a buzz or deliver a quality product annually, Oneplus has been doing it every 6 months with astonishing success every time. Let us explore in detail what does the phone have from inside and what does it mean to you.

The Physical Aspect

Oneplus has the knack of doing things on a short notice. It incorporates the current trends and latest technology so rapidly that, we as a buyer gets attracted to the new OnePlus every 6 months. This time it has taken the premium route and the first thing you will notice about this phone after the unpacking is ts shiny glass studded back. Yes!

The new premium for this year has been the glass back and for sure OnePlus noticed it. Although it does not support wireless charging yet, mind you it's dash charge technology is still counted among the best. Apart from the glass back, dimensionally phone is same, it has a vertical mounted dual-camera setup instead of horizontal ones, the fingerprint scanner is tad smaller. On the front, you have the gorgeous looking bezel-less display with a most tin of chin at the bottom and a notch at the top. The notch is significantly smaller than the infamous iPhone X ones, but it still there. Now, we all have come across people, some of whom are ok with the notch while others hate it to the core. So for those who get distracted by this tiny cutout at the top can hide it using the inbuilt option. OnePlus has continued the legacy of a 3.5mm jack as well. You have the famous slider button from Oneplus as well.

The inside of the Flagship Killer

OnePlus has a tagline that says ‘Never Settle’, and for the right reasons. OnePlus phones are often termed as Flagship killer because of the configuration and hardware it provides at the half price of general flagship phones. The latest version of a OnePlus run on its Oxygen OS which is just your pure stock Android with a few tweaks here and there. This OS is considered among the finest for its minimal change and approach. The phone runs on the latest Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor, with 6GB or 8GB RAM variants. The benchmark scores of the phone are on-par with most of the currently available Flagship mobiles. The phone is juiced up by a massive 3300 mAH battery which will be more than enough to keep you moving throughout the day. The phone this time has a vertically mounted camera setup like the majority of the phones. Although, in other dual camera phones, one is the primary camera while the second one is used for digital zoom or monochrome. But, in OnePlus 6 your get two primary cameras with one being 16 megapixel and f/1.7 aperture while the second one is a 20-megapixel camera. The phone has been decked to perform astonishingly well under low light conditions as well. The phone is capable of shooting 720p slow motion videos as well. The screen of the phone still not AMOLED.

Availability and Pricing

The phone which got announced on 16 May will be readily available for one and all from May 22.

It will be available in three color variants Black, White and Matte Black.

This time OnePlus also announced its pair of wireless earphones called bullet which is priced at $70 and the phone itself will be under $600. So given the latest trend, we would highly recommend the phones to common folks on a budget or a swanky rich guy.

The OnePlus 6 will surely turn some heads when you take it out on a public transport or in front of your jealous friends. Oneplus seems to have got hold of their tagline too well this time, Never Settle.
