This may be the reason why the symptoms caused by omicron are mild and less severe. It might be less hazardous for human lungs but it dodges most of the antibodies produced by the vaccine in a human body.

The research has also given a hint that the Omicron is more contagious than its predecessors. The virus's mutation has made it more vigorous to invade our immune system.

Treatment of Omicron

The WHO is still studying the Omicron to understand its mutation pattern, however, there are many speculations made over the virus's potential treatment but the authorities haven’t confirmed any particular treatment yet. For now, it is very necessary for everyone to get their vaccination.

Authorities are also planning to administer the booster dozes to the vaccinated population that has completed a primary series of vaccination. The objective of administering an additional dose (booster dose) is to enhance the immune response to establish a sufficient level of effectiveness against disease

In India, 85% to 90% of patients are asymptomatic or may have shown mild symptoms like moderate fever, scratchy throat or body ache. The Omicron treatment given to most Omicron patients is paracetamol and multi-vitamins.
