How to Register for JEE Main 2026 Online
The application process for JEE Main 2026 is entirely online. Follow these steps to complete your registration:
- Visit the official NTA website — jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Click on the ‘New Registration’ link and enter your name, mobile number, and email ID to generate your application number
- Log in with your credentials and fill in personal details, academic qualifications, and preferred exam cities
- Upload scanned copies of your photograph (with a live photo capture), signature, and valid ID proof in the prescribed format
- Pay the application fee through net banking, UPI, credit/debit card, or other available payment modes
- Preview the filled application form carefully and correct any mistakes
- Submit the form and download the confirmation page for your records
Important: From 2026, NTA has introduced a live photo capture step during registration. Candidates must also keep their Aadhaar details ready as it is compulsory for the registration process.

JEE Main 2026 Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed or be appearing in Class 12th (or equivalent) examination in 2024, 2025, or 2026.
- Age Limit: There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main 2026.
- Number of Attempts: A candidate can appear for JEE Main for 3 consecutive years.
- Subjects Required: Physics, Mathematics, and at least one of Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject in Class 12th.
