Of course being a Bollywood mainstream masala movie give it the freedom to portray larger than life images on screen but the trailer drew some flack for directly copying/inspiration from Rambo movie starring Sylvester Stallone.

More of that in the next section. The movie has been inspired from a Tollywood film called Kshanam, the plots of the two seem different but the inspiration remains on the same line. The movie is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Ahmed Khan. The movie is a sequel to 2016 made Baaghi which garnered some attention from the public.
