On Dusherra Night, 60 people dead and 142 injured when they were crushed by a speeding train at Joda Phatak, Amritsar. This accident happened at that time; when people were gathered at the railway track from different parts of the city to enjoy the burning of Ravana. From the last four years, Dussehra was celebrated at the same place. But it was the good luck of that people that the mishappening had never happened before this year.

Former minister, Navjot Kaur Sidhu was the chief guest of this celebration. After the speech of former minister Navjot Kaur Sidhu, the event began at 6.40 P.M. Till now out of 60 dead bodies 40 bodies have been identified, in which some of them are children between the age of 3 to 11.

Now, the game of blaming one another is over now. Till now nobody has taken responsibility of this tragedy. It shows that the organisers did not manage the crowd, who were gathered there to watch the event of Dussehra. As per our sources, the railway authorities did not have any information about the event. It clearly shows the careless behaviour of organisers.

The railway authority clearly stated that nobody can blame them, as they were not informed about this event. Now, some people and organisations have organised certain debates and programmes for discussing the cause of this accident. But actually, it has happened due to the negligence of the organisers.
